In the City, Without Being in the City
I love Shimla, but I hate the traffic and the noise of the main city. I wanted a vacation, not a headache. Srishti Vaikunth offered the perfect solution: It is in the city, without being in the city.
The location is magical. You are situated in Village Badhai, which is incredibly peaceful. You can hear the wind in the trees and the birds chirping in the morning. Yet, the amazing part is that we were just 6 km away from the heart of Shimla (Mall Road).
We could drive down to the main markets in 15-20 minutes to shop and eat, and then retreat back to our quiet sanctuary away from the crowd. Plus, being just 1 km from the Sankat Mochan and Vaishno Devi temples was a huge bonus for my parents.
